Makita’s compact rechargeable cold/freezer with 7L capacity and 40V max. temperature adjustment in 14 steps.

On May 17, Makita released the “CW003G,” a 40Vmax-compatible rechargeable cold/heat storage unit. The suggested retail price is 69,800 yen. Two colors, blue and olive, are available. The internal capacity is 7L.

This is a compact type of the “CW001G” (20L) rechargeable cold/warming cabinet released by Makita in July 2021, with an internal capacity of 7L. It is more compact than its predecessor and suitable for use by a small number of people or at work sites where space is limited. The included shoulder belt can be attached to the handle to carry the unit on the shoulder.

Cooling mode can be adjusted in 7 steps from -18°C to 10°C (-18/-15/-10/-5/0/5/10), and heating mode in 7 steps from 30°C to 60°C (30/35/ 40/45/50/55/60). Continuous operation time is approximately 16 hours and 30 minutes in cold mode (5°C setting, 30°C outside temperature, using optional battery “BL4050F”) and approximately 7 hours in warm mode (60°C setting, 0°C outside temperature, using optional battery “BL4050F”).
The power supply is compatible with 40Vmax lithium-ion batteries, 18V lithium-ion batteries, cigar sockets (12V and 24V), and 100V AC household power supply. A USB port on the top of the main unit can be used to charge USB devices. The main unit is IPX4 waterproof.

The inner chamber size is W150 x H220 x D210 mm; the main body size is W245 x H308 x D456 mm; the weight is 8.8 kg; the power consumption is 65 W for cooling and 36 W for heating; a shoulder belt, an AC adapter, and a cord for a cigarette socket are included.
